To support the Family Action Plan through the Special Committee for Family, Women and Children Institutions, the Mosque Affairs Department through the Women Affairs Division with cooperation from the Kampong Beribi Mosque takmir committee, held a lecture on ‘Mother’s role in preserving Islamic family harmony’ at Kampong Beribi Mosque yesterday.
The talk, facilitated by religious preacher Zati Hanani binti Dato Seri Setia Haji Rajid, aimed to encourage mothers to take the responsibility of guiding their children so they can build harmonious and happy family ties based on Islamic teachings.
Spouse of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Hajah Siti Norishan binti Haji Abdul Gafor was the guest of honour.
The organiser said the objectives were to strengthen the safety net and family social support and promote a better understanding of how to build a family based on Islamic teachings to form a life that is Sakinah, Mawaddah Wa Rahmah.
In addition, the talk also provided information on how to keep a family in a state of harmony and on a path blessed by Allah the Almighty.
The event also saw the sharing of Al-Quran verses and selected prayers practised by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). – Azlan Othman
