Take good care of mental health, public told

People must take care of their health, especially mental health, to face tests and challenges of the times, said religious development officer at Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) Haji Muskrisman Safari bin Haji Mustapa.

He said this at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Ilal Hijrah 1445 celebration and Doa Kesyukuran ceremony yesterday for haj pilgrims and medical officers from the ministry.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Datin Dr Hajah Noraslinah binti Haji Ramlee were present.

A forum on ‘Hijrah towards health from Islamic perspective’ was held, during which Haji Muskrisman said the Hijrah journey of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from Makkah to Madinah took a long period, and so, in performing Hijrah, there is no shortcut.

Meanwhile, religious officer at PDI Siti Juhaidah binti Haji Bujang said Hijrah for the betterment of life requires effort and that change does not happen overnight.
