KUANTAN (Bernama) – The police are tracking down a woman who allegedly claimed that she would marry the Crown Prince of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.

Pahang Police Chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman stated that an investigation paper has been opened under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

“We are investigating the matter and are in the process of locating the suspect,” he told Bernama on Friday.

The Comptroller of the Royal Household of Sultan Pahang, Major General Datuk Mohamed Zahari Yahya, reportedly said that the post, uploaded by an Instagram user with the handle Faridah Daud (@faridah.daud_l), included a claim by the woman detailing her alleged wedding with Tengku Hassanal.

According to the Instagram story, the woman falsely claimed that she would marry the Crown Prince of Pahang in April next year, naming Tengku Hassanal as her partner.
