The Brunei Darussalam Nurses’ Association (Penjuru) held its first-ever Back to School Infaq programme with a ceremony to hand over contributions and school supplies to 13 orphans.

The ceremony was held at Bilik Damuan & Telanai, Aneka Rasa Restaurant in Kiulap.

Vice President of Penjuru Hajah Asmah binti Haji Omar handed over the contributions.

Representative of the social and welfare committee of Penjuru Zaiton binti Haji Abdullah, in her welcoming remarks, shared that the programme is the first of its kind and is hopeful for it to continue annually.

She added that the programme aims to support the government’s efforts in looking after the orphans’ welfare, ease the families’ burden in preparing their children for school and encourages cooperation among association members.
