Ahmed Jamsari took first place, Yahya Husain UI Hasan came in third and Nischal Gurung came in 22nd in the recent two-week programming competition showcasing their knowledge and understanding of algorithm design, data structures and computational thinking.
Jerudong International School (JIS) came in sixth out of all the competing schools.
JIS Principal Nicholas Sheehan and Head of Computing Faculty David Hicks presented the certificates to the three students.
“This achievement cannot be overstated. For two JIS students to take first and third place and for three students to be in the top 25 in such a global competition is truly remarkable and testament to their skills,” Sheehan said.
The competition attracted students from 50 top international schools from Europe, Africa, Asia, China and South America.
