Five families under the ‘Ilat Tabarru’ Wa Barakah’ charity programme received donations for the needs of asnaf muallaf in Kampong Bebuloh on Wednesday.
The programme was initiated by Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School (SMALHB) in collaboration with the Muallaf Development Division (Muallaf Welfare) of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI).
It also saw the students engaged in sprucing up Kampong Bebuloh Religious Activity House and the presentation of donations in the form of tools and items for the religious activity house and residences.
The programme is an initiative for the students to engage in charitable activities while also educating them to perform noble practices.
It is implemented to raise students’ awareness on helping each other, molding their behaviour and virtues to be noble towards others, as well as cultivating themselves in giving alms.
PDI Assistant Director Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman led the delegation from the centre, and Principal Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mohammad led the SMALHB group.
Head of Muallaf Development Division Datin Dr Hajah Rohanita binti Haji Yaakub, Acting Village Head of Kampong Bebuloh, PDI officials, and SMALHB teachers were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
