Over 20 students interested in applying for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) attended a briefing at the Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam yesterday.

Several graduates of the GKS programme who are members of the GKS alumni including its president Lee Seck Chun also attended.

Prior to the briefing, Korean Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Kim Soung-eun in his welcoming remarks noted that the future of Brunei lies in the youth and their future lies in their education. “I wish the students the best of luck in their application,” he said.

This was followed by a presentation by Lee who gave an overview on the important things to note when in Korea and his study experience and shared a video presentation featuring recent graduate Nuratiqah Raduan.

Nuratiqah, who is still in Korea, shared her experiences as a GKS student. GKS graduate Fazrena shared her study life experiences.

The briefing was followed by a presentation on the GKS application procedure and requirements by Third Secretary at the Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Ahn Jae-yeon.
