The Information Department, through the International Affairs Desk, Corporate Relations Unit, Media and Corporate Communications Division as the Secretariat for the ASEAN-COCI Information Sub-Committee (SCI), held its series of ‘Kenali ASEAN’ roadshow at the Mumtaz Room of Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School on Saturday.
Principal Hajah Norhashimah binti Haji Burut, teaching staff and 179 Year 8 students attended the talk.
The briefing by head of the International Affairs Desk, Corporate Relations Unit Eddy Iswandy bin Haji Ismail aimed at instilling awareness among the students as part of the ASEAN Community in line with the ASEAN Motto: One Vision, One Identity, One Community.
Students also participated in the Get to Know ASEAN Quiz session.
The initiative marks the department’s continuous effort to instil the spirit of patriotism and unity (ASEAN-ness) among students to appreciate the function and purpose of ASEAN’s establishment.
