Lions Club of Belait members conducted their annual Sight Project at Chung Hwa School, Labi yesterday in conjunction with the World Sight Day – observed annually every October 12.
Region 5 Chairperson Joseph Teo led the group to conduct a vision screening and sight testing for 24 students. Through the sight examinations, seven students were found to require prescription eyeglasses and will be provided to them, donated by VisionCare in Kuala Belait.
The prescription eyeglasses will be handed to the students at a later date, with the group planning to make another journey to the rural areas of Belait District to hand over eyeglasses to the students. – Daniel Lim
