SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Stray Kids, the K-pop sensation, secured a historic position at No 52 on the prestigious 2023 Top 200 Albums chart by the French music industry association, SNEP. This remarkable feat marked a groundbreaking achievement for a K-pop artist.
Their third studio album, “Five-Star,” clinched the No 52 spot, while their eighth EP, “Rock-Star,” secured No 135 on the same chart, according to the official SNEP rankings.
This notable debut on the French annual album chart positioned Stray Kids with the top two most successful K-pop albums in the country.
Internationally, the group has been gaining prominence with their latest release, “Rock-Star,” achieving an impressive four-week reign at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
The lead track from the album, “Lalalala,” not only contributed to their global success but also marked the group’s inaugural entry onto Billboard’s Hot 100.
Looking ahead, Stray Kids are gearing up for their third world tour and have plans to unveil a new album later this year, solidifying their position as a rising force in the global music scene.
