Stepping into the Sultanate’s past

Some 30 members of the Kampong Masin mosque takmir committee visited the Brunei History Centre (PSB) recently. The visit, led by mosque affairs officer Jeffry bin Haji Metassim, was one of the mosque’s programmes during school holidays.

Acting Head of the Exhibition and Services Division Hajah Siti Aisah binti Pungut, who welcomed the group, gave a brief introduction to the PSB’s six exhibition rooms and the ‘Beginning of Islam’ and the ‘Genealogy of the Kingdom of Brunei’.

The group toured the exhibition halls, including the Genealogy Exhibition Hall, the Borneo Manuscript Collection Gallery as well as the Royal Regalia Museum.

The visit aimed to enhance the group’s knowledge of Brunei’s history and give them insights into the functions and responsibilities of the history centre. – Azlan Othman
