The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis/Madang yesterday in conjunction with its upcoming 32nd convocation.
Some 358 soon-to-be graduates participated in the ceremony. It commenced with the recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah, led by Kaseh Ikhwan Afif Jazimin bin Mohammad Rosdi, a student from the IBTE Mechanical Campus followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by guest of honour, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad. Muhamad Sakhawi bin Saiful and Mohd Hanif bin Haji Zakaria from IBTE Nakhoda Ragam Campus led the recitation Al-Quran, while female students from IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus recited Takhtim and student from IBTE Business Campus Ahmad Izzat Mu’inuddin bin Haji Masli recited Doa Khatam.
Shaifulbahri bin Haji Ahmad and IBTE students led the recitation of Dikir Marhaban followed with Mohammad Akmal Hakim bin Mohamad Alihan from IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus reciting Doa Kesyukuran.
IBTE Chief Executive Officer and Director of Technical Education Dr Haji Mohd Zamri bin Haji Sabli also attended. – Lyna Mohamad
