The 13th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BRC) was held on Sunday at its office in Annajat Complex, Kampong Beribi where Lailatul Zubaidah binti Haji Mohd Hussain was elected as the new President of BRC.
Haji Muhd Suhaimi bin Haji Ibrahim, who previously held the post of President, was elected as the new Secretary General. The new leadership team will serve for a five-year term, from 2024 to 2029.
Hajah Lailatul Zuraidah binti Haji Hussain was also appointed BRC’s new Vice President for Policy, Governance and Integrity, while Hajah Zainab MA Omar was appointed Vice President for Human Resource and Volunteer Sustainability and Capacity Development.
The meeting was attended by society leaders and members from all four districts, along with school cadet representatives and youth and volunteer members.
The AGM agenda included reviewing the organisation’s achievements for the year, discussing future goals, and electing new leadership team members. – Lyna Mohamad
