The short message service (SMS) for the Mosque Construction Fund for 1443H/2022 was officially launched yesterday at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) building.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar presided over the event.
Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni; Progresif Sdn Bhd CEO Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Md Jaafar; Hajah Farah Lisa binti Farid representing Imagine Sdn Bhd CEO; and Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali were also in attendance.
As of February 2022, the fund had collected BND18,937,639.32.
Two mosques and three conservation projects have been completed under the fund, while one new mosque is currently being constructed to replace the old Kampong Junjongan Mosque at an estimated cost of BND4.9 million.
Contribution to the fund can be made through SMS by typing ‘MASJID’, followed by the sum and send it to 38111 for DST and Progresif subscribers or 39999 for imagine subscribers.
The SMS service for the fund will run until December 13.
