Over 30 members of the Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PKWE) gathered at the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Library in Kampong Pandan for a tazkirah yesterday.
The session, titled ‘Senior Citizens: A Gift to be Grateful For’ (Warga Emas: Anugerah Yang Disyukuri), featured Dr Zulkifli bin Haji Zakara as the invited speaker.
Dr Zulkifli emphasised the crucial role of senior citizens as role models for their families, drawing connections to teachings in Al-Quran that many of the elderly are familiar with from years of learning and understanding. – Daniel Lim
