Selected fuel stations to close for inspection

The Industry and Business Ecosystem Division (IBE) through the Weights and Measures Unit (SDT) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy is slated to carry out the verification of accuracy readings on fuel dispensing pumps at various fuel stations in November following the Weights and Measures Act 1983 Chapter 151.

The guidelines mandate that all weighing and measuring machines used for trading must be checked for accuracy and validity, as well as confirm their registration with the SDT Unit.

The relevant fuel stations will be closed from 9am until the completion of the inspection.

The closure is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the public and the workforce involved in the inspection and verification process.

The inspection will begin in the Brunei-Muara District, starting with Persatuan TIBA Fuel Station (KOTIBA) at Kampong Salambigar on November 5. This will be followed by inspections at Gadong Fuel Station at Pengkalan Gadong, IBA Fuel Station at Kampong Lambak, and Pekan Muara Fuel Station, on November 6, 7, and 9, respectively.
