The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Federation (PPNBD) recently held a handover ceremony for the chief commissioner role, marking the transfer of responsibilities from outgoing chief commissioner Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali to Deputy Chief Commissioner Mohammad Arif bin Abdul Hadi.
The ceremony, held at the meeting room of PPNBD, began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech from the outgoing chief commissioner.
The ceremony also marked the end of the Council of Commissioners for the year 2023, and saw the official transfer of duties to the new chief commissioner including presentation of the letter of assignment.
“Haji Awang Badar, who has served as the sixth scout chief commissioner since 2005, played a pivotal role in the leadership of the PPNBD during his tenure,” it said in a statement.
