Nine teachers and staff from Pai Yuek School took part in a three-day fire marshal course organised by the Operation ‘G’ Branch Public Relations Division of the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) recently.
The participants were taught the importance of fire safety and provided fire drill training at the school aided by firefighters led by Bangar Fire Station Commander SO Jamaluddin bin Ahmad.
They were briefed on the action to take during a fire and evacuation, the the proper use of a fire extinguisher and fire blanket as well as how to save themselves when trapped in a building during a fire.
The participants also visited the Bangar Fire Station to be familiarised with firefighting equipment.
The course concluded with a certificate presentation by Commanding Officer of Operation ‘G’ Branch SSFR Haji Afiq bin Haji Julah.
Meanwhile, 16 staff from Western Foods and Packaging Sdn Bhd took part in a three-day fire marshal course at its premises recently.
The course was organised by Operation ‘A’ Branch Public Relations Division at the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD).
The participants also visited the Berakas Fire Station to be familiarised with firefighting equipment.
