ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – South Korea is set to highlight its advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and future mobility at an upcoming exhibition in Japan, a trade promotion agency announced on Tuesday.
Expo 2025 Osaka, which will run for six months from April 13 on Yumeshima, an artificial island in Osaka Bay, is themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The event will serve as a global platform for countries to present their innovations and visions for the future.
According to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), a delegation led by its CEO, Kang Gyeong-seong, recently inspected the Korean exhibition hall at the venue to assess preparations. KOTRA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, aims to present South Korea’s vision for a future society—one that integrates tradition, cutting-edge technologies, and cultural content.
A key focus of South Korea’s showcase will be AI-driven solutions, renewable energy, and advancements in future mobility. These sectors are expected to play a crucial role in shaping sustainable and technologically advanced societies in the years to come.
The exhibition also coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Japan, providing an opportunity to reinforce economic ties.
“Through the expo, the government will work towards strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries and fostering bilateral trade,” Kang stated.
With South Korea positioning itself as a leader in next-generation technologies, its presence at Expo 2025 is expected to attract significant global interest.
