Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah attended a session with former United States (US) international football players who are both in the country as part of the US Sports Envoy Programme at the Royal Brunei Recreation Field in Berakas yesterday. 1991 FIFA World Cup winner Amy Allman Griffin and 1999 FIFA World Cup winner Lorrie Fair Allen were the special guests during a football training session for junior players organised by the Brazilian Football Academy (BFA).
The World Cup winning duo spoke in front of the gathered junior participants and even showed a FIFA World Cup gold medal from 1991.
Amy Allman, who was a former teammate of the legendary Mia Hamm, was part of the team that beat Norway 2-1 in the final to clinch their maiden World Cup title in Guangzhou, China.
Lorrie, who was part of the 1999 World Cup winning team that beat China on penalties on home soil, also led a session with the Under-10 players.
The former US internationals also took time to sign jerseys much to the delight of the young players.
