His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, boarded the Royal Australian Air Force P-8A aircraft flight yesterday.
His Royal Highness was greeted at the Air Movement Centre, Rimba Air Force Base by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan; Australian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Luke Arnold; Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim; Acting Joint Force Commander of the RBAF Colonel (U) Hismawadi bin Haji Muhammad Said; and Australian Defence Adviser to Brunei Darussalam Wing Commander Matthew Charles Xerri. Accompanying His Royal Highness onboard the flight were Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi, Luke Arnold, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif and Colonel (U) Hismawadi.
During the flight, His Royal Highness consented to witness the view within the Sultanate’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
The flight signified the strong bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Australia.
