Roadside kitten rescue

I was driving along Jalan Beribi the other day when the driver in front of me suddenly stopped abruptly and flashed his emergency lights.

Luckily, I kept a safe distance from him and managed to avoid a fender bender. I was already fuming and wondering why he had hit the brakes in the middle of a busy road when I noticed he got out of his car holding a small towel.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I stepped out of my car to have a look and saw a small kitten looking lost in front of his car. The man, in his early 30s, gently picked up the kitten and walked back to his car.

“Sorry Puan. Sorry for stopping. Kesian. This kitten might have been run over if it stayed on the road,” he apologised, lifting the kitten so the line of cars behind us would know what caused the hold-up.

As I got back in my car, I felt a sense of relief knowing that there are still people who care and would go out of their way just to save a life. My faith in humanity has been restored.
