As-Salaam Mosque Takmir Committee in Kampong Junjongan, has lined up several knowledge activities to be carried out as the fasting month of Ramadhan approaches, aimed at disseminating knowledge in Ramadhan preparations for the public.
An initiative in collaboration with the Imarah Division, Muslimah Affairs Division and the Brunei-Muara District Mosque Affairs Department, the ‘Rehlah Ila Ramadhan’ (Road to Ramadhan) programme will be filled with forum events with discussion topics related to Ramadhan and health.
Among the objectives of the programme, which will be carried out four times, is to further enliven the upcoming month of Ramadhan so that Muslims gain additional knowledge as a guide to fasting during the holy month, as well as a way for the general public to review their knowledge, as the month of Ramadhan only comes once a year.
The first session of the programme was held at the As-Salaam Mosque, Kampong Junjongan and featured Special Duties Officer Level II (Skippa Apprentice) Awangku Muhd Ridhauddin bin Pengiran Mohd Amin as the moderator.
Meanwhile, panel members comprised Religious Development Officer Ahmad Muzhafar bin Haji Marsidi and Assistant Religious Development Officer Salihan bin Samra, both from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
Present as the guest of honour was Acting Assistant Director of Mosque Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Zulkifli bin Haji Murat. – Lyna Mohamad
