Road to overseas education at study fair

Celebrating its 10th year in business, Findlay Education Services is hosting its 2024 International Study Fair at The Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong from 2pm to 7pm on
January 30.

Twenty-six representatives from institutions covering the United Kingdom (UK), Australia, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States (US) will participate to advise and guide students considering overseas education.

Participating institutions from the UK include Aberystwyth University, Coventry University, Bangor University, De Montfort University, Lancaster University, Queen’s University Belfast, University of Birmingham, University of Edinburgh, University of Exeter, University of Liverpool, University of Plymouth, University of Surrey and University of West England Bristol. Malaysian institutions will see Taylor’s University and the Malaysian campuses of the University of Reading and Curtin University. From Australia is Deakin University while Singapore will field James Cook University Singapore. Canada will see the University of Alberta in attendance.

Alongside universities will be representatives from pathway providers providing an increasingly popular route into universities. Attending will be CATS Global Schools, INTO University Partnerships, Anglia Ruskin University College, ONCAMPUS UK and Navitas, partnered with 15 universities in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands and seven universities across Canada and the US.

Studying overseas nurtures students’ personal growth and opens doors to exciting future prospects. Participants will gain valuable information and guidance to help them make informed decisions to lay a strong foundation for their future success.”

The fair will also showcase Findlay’s Psychometric Career Profiling Assessment which students find useful when considering study and career options or to confirm their choice of study. Findlay’s Employment Training workshops in writing winning CVs, effective interviewing skills and engaging presentation and public speaking will also be on display.

Country-specific information will be available from officers from the British Council and StudyUK, Austrade’s StudyAustralia and the US’ EducationUSA and Brunei-US Association. The Centre for British Teachers will be on hand to provide information about IELTS English language tests, and Baiduri Bank will showcase their education loans and international student bank accounts.

Officers from the Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council and Department of Scholarship Management at the Ministry of Education are also present for any related enquiries.
