Abdul Rahman Amin bin Jalani and Muhammad Nurzairie bin Abdullah Peter were elected as village heads of Kampong Mumong ‘C’ and RPN Kampong Panaga ‘A’ during polls at Belait Sixth Form Centre yesterday.
Abdul Rahman Amin, 39, was the sole candidate for Kampong Mumong ‘C’ while Muhammad Nurzairie was the only candidate for RPN Kampong Panaga ‘A’.
Legislative Council member and Penghulu of Mukim Bukit Sawat Yang Berhormat Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman, Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad and Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) representative Mohammad Khairol bin Haji Bakar oversaw the election.
The results will be presented to the Board of Appointment, Discipline and Procedures for Mukim Penghulu and Village Head at the MoHA for processing. – Daniel Lim
