Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at the University Mosque, UBD yesterday in conjunction with the 51st birthday of His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Pro-Chancellor of UBD, UNISSA and UTB.
The ceremony commenced with mass Maghrib and Sunnat Hajat prayers led by apprentice officer Muhd Wafiy Mohammad from the Mosque Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, followed by a mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran. It concluded with mass Isyak prayer.
Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour.
UBD Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle, UNISSA Rector Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal and UTB Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar were also present. – Fadhil Yunus

The Ministry of Defence (MinDef) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the 51st birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The ceremonies were held simultaneously across all suraus in the MinDef and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) camps, with the main event held at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison.
The ceremony began with a mass Maghrib prayer, followed by a Sunnat Hajat prayer and the recitation of Surah Yaasiin. To bless the event, a special Doa in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ 51st birthday celebration was read by Acting Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar. The ceremony concluded with a mass Isyak prayer.
Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan and Permanent Secretary at the MinDef Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin were present.
Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College
Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (MDPMAMB) held a religious event, in conjunction with the 51st birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office at its premises yesterday.
The gathering commenced with a mass Maghrib prayer and a Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Syariah lecturer Haji Md Shafiee bin Haji Japar from MDPMAMB’s Islamic Studies Department. Student Council President Awangku Luqman ‘Amri Al-Hakeem bin Pengiran Ali Syafie led the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran.
Director of the Department of Curriculum Development at the Ministry of Education Ali Hamdani bin Haji Muhamad Diah was the guest of honour. – Fadley Faisal

The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at the PPNBD Surau in conjunction with the 51st birthday celebration of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and PPNBD Chief Scout.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and concluded with a Doa Kesyukuran, led by Scout Commissioner for Religious Section Haji Rosaimi bin Haji Rosman.
PPNBD President Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris bin Haji Abas was the guest of honour. PPNBD Chief Commissioner Haji Junaidi bin Haji Hussin was also present. – Lyna Mohamad
