The Ministry of Home Affairs held a Yassiin recitation and Tahlil ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong recently.

Sumbangsih Mulia Building Chairman Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin were among those present.

Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP), Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (Brunei LNG), Brunei Shell Marketing (BSM), Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC), Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) and Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sdn Bhd (BFI) held a joint Tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong yesterday.
The ceremony was held in remembrance of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim, as well as other late members of the royal family.
BSP Corporate Manager Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Awang Haji Bakar, Brunei LNG Growth and Strategy Manager Haji Mazrul Adini bin Haji Abdul Ghani, BSM Acting Managing Director Haji Mohd Hairul Radzi bin Haji Shahri, BGC Managing Director Captain Abdul Mateen Abdurrahman Liew, BMC Plant General Manager Mohd Nor Amin bin Haji Abdul Wahab and BFI Head of Operations Pengiran Haji Muhammad Ibrahim bin Pengiran DP Haji Abu Bakar led the delegates from their respective companies.
They were also accompanied by senior officers and staff from all six companies involved in the ceremony, which started with the recitation of Surah Yassiin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah, led by Asril Amin bin Ahmad from BGC. – Daniel Lim
