The Postal Services Department of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) marked World Post Day 2022 with a recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil, Doa Kesyukuran and a mass Asar prayer at the Brunei International Airport Surau yesterday.
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha was the guest of honour.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil for officers and staff who had passed followed by the recitation of Doa seeking proctection against COVID-19.
Apart from the World Post Day which falls every October 9, the ceremony also serves to commemorate the 116 years of establishment of the Postal Services Department.
Permanent secretary, deputy permanent secretary and acting deputy permanent secretary at the MTIC, directors at the various sections of MTIC, heads of departments and chief executives as well as senior officers, officers and staff of the Postal Services Department were also in attendance.
