The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), through the National Service Programme (PKBN) in collaboration with the Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC) under the Prime Minister’s Office and Institute of Brunei Technical Education, held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for Cohorts 4 and 5 Jati Diri trainees at the PKBN Training Camp in Batu Apoi, Temburong District yesterday.
Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the MCYS Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin was the guest of honour.
PKBN Acting Director Major (Rtd) Haji Mohammad bin Dollah, the ceremony chair, also attended.
Two hundred and thirty-six trainees are participating in Cohorts 4 and 5 of the Jati Diri programme. Haji Zakaria and Head of the MPEC Secretariat Dr Hajah Siti Haziah binti Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin presented certificates to the trainees. – James Kon
