Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) announced the launch of its ‘Discover Brunei’ webpage yesterday, which is hosted on their web portal and serves as a directory of tours from Brunei Tourism and various local operators.
The airline is collaborating with Brunei Tourism and local tour operators for the dedicated webpage on flyRB.com, said RB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Captain Sabirin bin Haji Abdul Hamid during the celebration of the airline’s 48th anniversary of its first flight and 20th anniversary of its loyalty programme, Royal Skies.
“We are passionate about promoting Brunei to the world and showcasing the unique beauty and culture of our home country,” said the CEO.
The Discover Brunei webpage serves as a directory of tours from various operators.
“Our ultimate goal is to make the booking process as effortless as possible,” said the CEO, adding that they will be working towards that goal in the coming months. He said that the directory of tours isn’t exclusive to RB passengers, but for any who wish to purchase the tour packages available.
“We’re confident that this initiative will encourage more people to explore the hidden treasures of Brunei and help us promote the country’s beauty of to the world,” he said.
Meanwhile, RB also introduced its new in-flight menu, created in collaboration with, Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC), who has been RB’s esteemed inflight catering service partner since its establishment. The new menu will be available to both economy and business class passangers from June 1.
RBC General Manager Haji Jeff Hadiman bin Dato Paduka Haji Danial said, “RBC is honoured to be collaborating with RB in renewing all our inflight dining menus; starting with our new business class menu.
“We’ve added both variety and vibrancy to our meal choices,” he said, adding that the menu is a mix of traditional and international flavours, using local produce and prepared locally.
Minister of Development and Chairman of RB Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid was present as the guest of honour at the celebration of the two anniversaries.
