Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) held a Tahlil recitation and sungkai event for 29 underprivileged and orphan students from Muhammad Alam Primary School, Seria at the club’s Cenderawasih Ballroom last Thursday.
The event was held as part of the BSRC’s corporate social responsibility initiative aiming to support the Seria community.
In attendance were the club’s President Mohammad Ashraf bin Haji Mohd Esa, General Manager Yasmin Abdullah and Social Secretary Md Nizam Abdullah.
The event began with the recitation of Tahlil, followed by the handing of donations to the students.
The breaking of fast followed, supported by McDonalds Brunei and Burger King Brunei.
The BSRC management and staff, as well as guardians, family members and teachers from the school also participated.
The BSRC president noted that they hope to include more schools in Seria in the future, as part of the initiative to give back to the community.
