Public join RBAF celebration

The public gathered to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at the Parade Square Training Institute, RBAF Penanjong Garrison yesterday.

The event showcased military vehicles and featured the first-ever Solidarity Jump joined by paratroopers from 11 nations and a defence industries exhibition.

The two-day event featured activities such as horse-riding and flying fox.

“Every year, I look forward for RBAF’s anniversary celebration, as it’s the only time to take a close look at the latest military vehicles,” said Abdul Hamid bin Haji Abdulrahman.

For Malaysian Faris Haziq Zuraini, it was his first time attending the celebration.

“We wanted to share this annual event with our Malaysian friend,” said Faris’ local friends Chin You Chu and Firas Aimanuddin.

“Overall, it was great! I got to see many military equipment on display, and the flying fox was fun too,” Faris said. – Adib Noor
