The Ministry of Health (MoH) is appealing for the public to help replenish blood reserves, in view of the dwindling supplies at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre and across blood banks at hospitals nationwide. There is particular shortage of blood types ‘O’ and ‘A’.

The public can head to the Blood Donation Centre or a nearby blood bank to donate blood. Those visiting the Blood Donation Centre are encouraged to reserve a slot through the BloodKad app.

The operating hours at the Blood Donation Centre at RIPAS Hospital is Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8am to 11.30am, and 1.30pm to 4pm.

The Suri Seri Begawan Hospital Blood Bank operates from Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8am to 11.30am, and 1.45pm to 3.30pm, while the one at Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital operates from Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 11.30am and 1.30pm 3.30pm.

The public can also donate blood via mobile blood donation campaigns. Booking slots through the BloodKad app is highly encouraged.

The Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan is organising a blood donation campaign at the Health Promotion Centre tomorrow, from 9am to 1pm.
