The National Anti-Drug Association (BASMIDA) recently organised a prize presentation for a colouring contest held in conjunction with National Family Day 2022. Held in collaboration with Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan), the event was held at Parkview Hotel in Jerudong.
Yayasan Acting Assistant Director cum guest of honour Sufina binti Haji Sulaiman awarded prizes and certificates to 13 participants in the excellence category, with each receiving BND50.
BASMIDA Vice-President cum organising committee chairperson Hajah Linda Aini binti Abdullah said the contest received encouraging public responses, with its theme and sub-themes encompassing ‘Nilai mulia dan tinggi dalam keluarga’, ‘Saya sayangkan keluarga saya’, ‘Keluargaku harapanku masa hadapanku’, and ‘Keluarga sakinah, mawaddah, warahmah.’
Meanwhile, BASMIDA President cum colouring contest advisor Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali said the event was able to meet its target, with the support of Yayasan.
She also discussed the preventive drug education programme, which supports the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as it collaborates with government and non-governmental organisation (NGOs) to eradicate drug abuse in the country. The effort also aims to build harmonious family institutions that are solid, happy and blessed.
She also thanked the NCB for contributing 150 Parents Guide books which were distributed at the event.
