Eight teams will begin their quest in the Brunei Premier Futsal League (BPFL) following the launch of the tournament at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Sports Complex last night.
Yakin Football League General Manager Jasiswandy Jaini in his speech during the opening match ceremony said, “Success in developing futsal can only be achieved through close cooperation from all parties to ensure the development of futsal in Brunei Darussalam.”
He expressed confidence that continuous efforts will help elevate the quality of futsal in the country to a higher level.
The BPFL 2024/2025 championship has been officially launched by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) Chairman of Futsal Competitions Standing Committee Pengiran Kamarunsalehin bin Pengiran Kamis.
The league is participated by eight teams namely FC Phosphor, Street United FC, Silveredz FC, MS SSBD, MS PPDB, Hars Elite FT, Syahkampong and PES.
Organised by the Yakin Football League, it is a new format with the Brunei Elite Futsal League as Division 1 and the BPFL as Division 2. – Fadhil Yunus
