The Ministry of Education (MoE), through its Department of Schools, yesterday coordinated the visit of 10 pre-university students and two teachers from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College (MSPSBS) to the National University of Singapore High School of Science and Mathematics (NUSHS) in Singapore.

The five-day visit, from July 30 to August 3, is a school twinning programme between the Sultanate and Singapore.

Acting Assistant Director and Head of the Administration and Finance Division of the Department of Schools at the MoE Norhaiyati binti Haji Serudin was present to bid the delegation farewell at the Brunei International Airport.

The programme between MSPSBS and NUSHS was implemented in 2006, to foster a collaborative and multi-cultural learning environment that focuses scientific research, sustainability and socio-cultural exchange, while strengthening the existing relationship and cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit, the students will take a closer look at the education system of the Singaporean school, in addition gaining knowledge and experience during learning sessions and co-curricular activities with NUHS students.

The students will also visit sites to learn the city states’ history and culture.
