Potato Habit Chicas emerged winners of the Vamos Chicas II following a 2-1 victory against Little Legends in a championship match at the National Tennis Centre in Berakas recently.
The triumphant members comprised captain Letricia, Hana, Ruby, Jolin, Fiona and Sujee while the finalists consisted captain Lavina, Ella, Areesyah and Danielle. The second runner-ups went to Racquet Rebels and Peak.
Meanwhile in the Plate category, Panaga Mamachitas emerged on top as winners followed by SWO What? as runners-up.
The invitational ladies tennis team tournament was organised by HappyBunch, a locally-based social tennis club.
Some 65 female tennis players competed in the meet involving a total of 11 teams. This was the second edition of the tournament.
The tournament is set to return for a third edition in March 2024 and aims to attract participation of 100 female tennis players. – Fadhil Yunus
