Deputy Director of the Office for Wawasan Brunei 2035 at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Pengiran Khairil Bariah binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Ali raised the curtains on the Sustainab’all – ESG Start programme during a ceremony at The Empire Brunei yesterday.

Organised by TotalEnergies EP (Brunei) BV (TEPB), the event began with welcoming remarks by TEPB General Manager Jerome Saniez, followed by an opening speech from the deputy director.

The four-day programme, on February 26-27 and March 4-5, is facilitated by UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB) and will be filled with interactive workshops, lectures and coaching.

It will also include highlighted case studies to equip small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the knowledge, resources and tools to evaluate their existing sustainable performances, as well as map out their future sustainable goals on their business objectives.

Some 20 participants, suppliers or contractors of TEPB from various sectors as well as i-Usahawan companies are participating in the programme that kicked off with an introduction by UNGCMYB Director of Programmes and Enterprise Insights Jess Yeoh on initiatives and programmes under the UNGCMYB.

Workshops will be facilitated by Sudarsan CS, an experienced trainer from the UNGCMYB Academy, who has trained approximately 12,000 participants from various industries.

On completion, SMEs will receive sustainable action plans that serve as dynamic documents to guide the adoption of sustainable practices in their organisations. – Lyna Mohamad
