Over 2,100 primary school students attended the National Savings Day 2024 Financial Awareness Roadshow at Sengkurong Sixth Form Centre yesterday.
The fifth and final roadshow, co-hosted by the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) with the Ministry of Education, saw students engaged in various activities highlighting financial topics such as savings, takaful, insurance, investments, retirement planning and consumer protection.
Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Dr Haji Mahali bin Haji Momin and Yang Berhormat Amran bin Haji Maidin were the guests of honour.
Following the roadshow, the National Savings Day 2024 fun fair is set to take place in August at the Jerudong Park Playground.
The event will feature various family friendly financial activities to promote financial literacy. – James Kon
