Over 170 religious teachers and Year 2 Islamic Education teachers from government and private primary schools nationwide attended the Socialisation Session on the Implementation of the New Islamic Education Curriculum for Year 2 (2025).
The session, organised by the Islamic Studies Department (JPI) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), in collaboration with the Department of Curriculum Development, Ministry of Education (MoE) was held from November 26 to 27 at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School, Kampong Katok.
The session featured briefings by Head of the Islamic and Arabic Education Unit, Department of Curriculum Development at MoE Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abdul Manaf and Head of the Curriculum Division, JPI at MoRA Haji Johar bin Haji Jumat. The briefings aimed to provide insights on the implementation of the new curriculum, which aligns with efforts to integrate religious subjects into the general education system. – Fadley Faisal
