Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman presented appreciation certificates to officers and staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) during a ceremony at a hotel in Gadong yesterday.
The event honoured 104 retirees from MoRA who concluded their service last year, recognising their contributions.
Officers and staff who received awards in conjunction with the 31st Civil Service Day celebration were also celebrated which included recipients of the Excellent Civil Service Employee Award (APCPA) and the Civil Service Meritorious and Devoted Staff Award (AKB²PA).
The ceremony also acknowledged recipients of the Excellent Teacher Award and the Teacher’s Day Appreciation Award (Special Mention), presented in conjunction with the 34th Teacher’s Day Celebration.
Additionally, participants of the MoRA’s Strategic Plan 2025-2029 Workshop and the MoRA Futsal Team, winners of the Inter-Ministry Futsal Championship open category, received certificates of appreciation.
The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by welcoming remarks from Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim. The ceremony concluded with the minister presenting certificates. – Lyna Mohamad
