Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) marked another historic milestone with the launching of its Onshore Loading Facility at its main compound in Sungai Liang Industrial Park (SPARK), Belait District on Wednesday.
The newly established facility plays a pivotal role in distributing methanol to the domestic market within the Sultanate, which goes beyond BMC’s traditional operations.
The Deputy Minister of Finance & Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Hj Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid attended the launching ceremony as a representative of the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah.
BMC was established in 2007 and began methanol production in 2010.
