A viral message claiming that a student is suffering from complications caused by the COVID-19 vaccination is untrue, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar yesterday during a press conference.
The minister said the Ministry of Health (MoH) upon receiving the message, conducted an investigation to determine whether there was any evidence to support the claim that a student was experiencing chest pains and had difficulty in breathing after receiving his COVID-19 vaccination.
“The MoH has directly contacted hospitals and have found no reports of the case in any of the four districts,” said the minister.
He added, “I would like to remind the public to not believe or spread fake news circulating on social media especially if there is no truth to it.”
