The 5th-generation Lexus RX that incorporates Lexus’ driving signature performance and next generation design rolled out in an exclusive media preview event yesterday.
Held at the Lexus Brunei showroom in Gadong, local media representatives witnessed the digital and physical launch of the new model.
On hand to unveil the popular luxury SUV from Lexus was NBT (Brunei) Managing Director Haji Ahmad Omar bin Pehin Dato Haji Husin with Lexus Brunei’s Assistant General Manager Muhammad Clovien bin Abdullah Timpoh.
The solid stance, achieved by the extended wheelbase, low centre of gravity and widened front and rear treads, has been designed for a new drive force control and driving experience. For the side view, raising the tip of the hood and lowering the rear edge of the back window expressed a horizontal posture.
While keeping the overall length and front overhang, the pillar’s base is pushed back emphasising the elongated hood and express a stance on which the mass of cabin seems to sit on the rear.
The powerful surface extending from the rear door to the rear fenders expresses the powerful traction of the eAxle, creating a beautiful highlighted loop as the shape seamlessly connects to the side sills.
The spindle design is now expressed as a three-dimensional mass spindle body where at the front, the body colour is brought down to lower edge of the Lexus emblem. It emphasises the strength of the design as well as the mathematical beauty of the grill gradation.
Lexus develops world-class advanced safety technologies with the goal of zero fatalities and injuries from traffic accident and the new Lexus RX safety features include pre collision safety, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert and abnormal driver condition response system.
The public can view the new Lexus RX at Lexus Brunei showroom in Gadong.
