The contract for the construction of flyover at the intersection of Muara-Tutong Highway and Jalan Utama Tanah Jambu at Tanjung Kajar Industrial Site costing BND15,218,818 was signed at the Public Works Department’s (JKR) headquarters yesterday.
The project will support industrial activities by providing a more efficient route for transportation of industrial materials.
Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional) at the Ministry of Development (MoD) Ir Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Zakaria witnessed the ceremony.
Signing on behalf of the MoD were Acting Director General of JKR Haji Shaharuddin Khairul bin Haji Anuar and Acting Director of Roads Rafitra bin Haji Abdul Razak while Surati Construction Sdn Bhd was represented by Mohamad Zul Fakhri bin Mohd Sofian and Kua Tshin Heng.
The flyover is projected to be completed in 18 months.
