Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC) has been tasked to serve meals to thousands of students participating in the Sultanate’s 40th National Day celebration.
Both breakfast and lunch will be available on Saturday in four locations – Indoor Stadium, International Convention Centre, Muhibbah Hall at the Brunei-Muara District Office and the Fire and Rescue Department headquarters.
Participants have also been treated to buffets at the Indoor Stadium after rehearsal.
The Bulletin yesterday visited the Indoor Stadium where honey-grilled chicken and fried noodles were served for breakfast.
Malay language teacher Aqilah Syukri from St George’s School, who is overseeing 50 students, said, “Alhamdulillah, the food served after the rehearsal was delicious and of high quality. The service was great. I would rate it five stars.”
Another St George’s teacher Jasmine Wong said, “I actually came on Wednesday and I was quite happy with the food. Yesterday they were serving roti kosong. We were also served hot food during lunch. It showed that the food had been freshly prepared.”
She added, “The service was good. My students all enjoyed the food. As long as the students are happy, I am happy.”
Meanwhile, Chung Hwa Middle School Bandar Seri Begawan teacher Mah Sui See said, ”Previously, students received packed food. Since Wednesday, we have been served buffet breakfast and lunch.
