The weekly Munajat night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) continued on Saturday.
The 25th edition of the Munajat night saw a virtual gathering to recite Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Yaasiin, Zikir, Selawat, Asmaa Ul-Husna as well as Doa. The event saw the involvement from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and 49 mosques nationwide.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman.
It was followed by a mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin led by education officer from the ministry’s Department of Curriculum Development Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abdul Manaf.
A Doa Munajat was later read by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, and Acting Assistant Rector (International and Service) Dr Haji Hambali bin Haji Jaili delivered a tazkirah.
It continued with a recitation of Selawat Ibrahimiyyah by Co-Curriculum Education Department education officer Haji Muhammad Nazreen Hazwan bin Haji Suani.
The event concluded with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam recited by Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque Affairs Officer Akup bin Haji Lamat.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, deputy ministers, permanent and deputy permanent secretaries from MoRA and MoE were also in attendance.
