The Department of Councils of State last night participated in the Munajat night organised by the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) held virtually at the Surau of the Department of Councils of State.
Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council (LegCo) Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar and members of LegCo; officers and staff participated.
The objective of Munajat night is to seek forgiveness and gain blessings from Allah the Almighty while reciting Istighfar, Surah Yaasiin and Zikir to pray that the people and country will be protected from all disasters and illness, including the COVID-19 outbreak. The ceremony also coincided with the recitation of Asmaa ul-Husna and Selawat for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
