Mosque Affairs officer Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahhuddin highlighted the significance of fasting as a means to attain Taqwa (piety) and that the months leading up to Ramadhan – Rejab, Syaaban and Ramadhan itself – symbolise stages of spiritual cultivation, growth and reaping the rewards of devotion.
He said this delivering a tazkirah during the 173rd Munajat night at the National Service Programme (PKBN) Training Camp Surau in Batu Apoi, Temburong District on Saturday.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), emphasised the importance of spiritual preparation ahead of Ramadhan. The event featured recitations of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by PKBN Training Camp Commander Major (Rtd) Haji Mohammad bin Dollah. This was followed by the collective recitation of Surah Al-Mulk led by PKBN trainee Asna Qawi Ni’matullah bin Hasnan.
Trainee Ahmad Hambali bin Haji Ahmad Hilmi led the recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah followed by Pengiran Muhammad Muzhaffar bin Pengiran Haji Rusjdi reciting Doa Munajat. Imam Abdul Razak bin Samat from Sufri Bolkiah Mosque in RPN Kampong Berakas recited Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The event was also joined virtually by officials from the MoRA and its affiliated agencies, as well as individuals from their homes.
