The Mukim Keriam Consultative Council (MPM Keriam) held a Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration to appreciate former members of MPM Keriam for their services, contribution and cooperation in conducting the council’s movement and implementing activities for the development and harmony of the community.
Acting Tutong District Officer, Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri was the guest of honour at the event held at the Serambangun multipurpose hall in Tutong District.
The event, which saw the attendance of 70 people, began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat by former member of the MPM Keriam Religious, Welfare and Education Bureau Haji Muhd Kartolo bin Haji Abang.
The event continued with speeches from former Penghulu of Mukim Keriam and Chairperson of MPM Keriam in his capacity as the chairman of the organising committee Orang Kaya Jaya Putera Dato Paduka Awang Haji Muhd Taha bin Abdul Rauf and the guest of honour.
Among the activities was the presentation of Waqaf in the form of Al-Quran stands to imams at mosques in Mukim Keriam, presented by Orang Kaya Jaya Putera Dato Paduka Awang Haji Muhd Taha. He also handed over a donation for the Tutong District Welfare Orphans Fund.
The celebration was enlivened by Asmaa Ul-Husna and Selawat Badariyyah performances. – Lyna Mohamad
